What’s one way you can be more experimental with your artwork?
I believe that no matter what type of artist you are, creative experimentation is an essential part of moving your artwork forward.
Creative experimentation is taught at every Art School in the world and it is what I have founded my online Art School on.
But I know that it’s not easy! Especially when we have busy lives and lots of distractions. So let me use my 12+ years of teaching experience to give you one sure fire way of being more experimental.
👩🎨 give yourself a limitation!
I know it sounds counterintuitive, but limitations foster creativity and experimentation.
So try this: draw a 3 inch square and make an artwork within it.
Or this: set a 5minute timer on your phone and make a painting in that time.
Or this: give yourself the theme of Memory and make an artwork about it.
